Our organisation

 

The Plataforma Tecnológica Española de la Carretera (PTC), the Spanish Road Technology Platform, is a discussion forum under the supervision of the Spanish Ministry for Economy & Competitiveness that brings together Science-Technology-Enterprise stakeholders with a significant role in the promotion of employment, competitiveness and growth of Spanish road infrastructures.

 

Today, the Platform counts on the participation of 47 organizations in Spain, coordinating +220 experts in the fields of ITS, Safety, Materials, Energy, Environment & Intermodality.

 

The Platform´s main objectives are to:

 

      a.  Define a strategic vision for technological activities in the Spanish road sector.

 

      b.  Stimulate stakeholder cooperation by optimizing existing R&D investments

            and promoting new R&D projects.

 

      c.   Build R&D guidelines and long-term priorities, in cooperation with national and

            international bodies.

 

      d.  Encourage knowledge transfer and good-practice exchange between the aforementioned

            stakeholders.
