The European Commission is looking for experts in the field of cooperative, connected, automated and autonomous mobility (CCAM).
Connected and automated mobility has the potential to revolutionise our lives. It could make transport safer and more efficient, ease traffic and reduce pollution, favour social inclusion and accessibility. The European Commission is strongly committed to supporting the fast deployment of these new technologies and services in Europe and to bringing their societal benefits to all Europeans.
But for connected and automated mobility to become a reality, we need the appropriate legal and regulatory framework and innovation-friendly conditions: support to large-scale trials is paramount.
An expert group, the Single Platform for open road testing and pre-deployment of cooperative, connected, automated and autonomous mobility, will provide advice and support. The Commission will select up to 100 experts, appointed for a period of three years.
Commissioners Violet Bulc and Mariya Gabriel will present the platform officially at the 2nd European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving on 3 April 2019 in Brussels.
- Call for applications (deadline 10 April).
- Communication ‘On the road to automated mobility: An EU strategy for mobility of the future’.
